When you sign up for a SendGrid account, you can start a 60-day free trial to explore the Email API and Marketing Campaigns features. During or after the trial period, you can upgrade your plan to meet your email sending needs.
During the 60-day free trial period, you can:
The free trial starts on the sign-up date. You can upgrade your plans for Email API or Marketing Campaigns during or after the trial period. After the 60-day period, you'll need to upgrade your plans to continue sending emails or to access the Marketing tab in the dashboard.
The free trial is only available once. Upgrading your plan will immediately terminate the trial, and you can't restart it.

Before upgrading your plan, you must complete the verification steps to unlock your Twilio SendGrid account.
If you signed up for a Twilio SendGrid account prior to September 17, 2020, skip to Upgrade your plan.
Set up Two-Factor Authentication.
Set up Domain Authentication.
Authenticating your domain shows email providers that Twilio SendGrid has your permission to send emails on your behalf.
If you don't have access to your domain's DNS records, you can Send to a Coworker. This feature allows you to enter a colleague's email address so Twilio SendGrid can send them all the information they need to complete domain authentication on your behalf.
Add a payment method.
Your card won't be charged at this time.
You can upgrade your Email API and Marketing Campaigns plans independently at any time.
